The Links, Incorporated is an exclusive not-for-profit organization based upon the ideals of combining friendship and community service. Our organization was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1946 from a group of ladies known as the Philadelphia Club. They focused on civic, cultural and educational endeavors. The organization was formally incorporated five years later in 1951.
The Dayton, Ohio Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, was formed May 28, 1949, before the organization was incorporated. Our chapter is the 1st Chapter Chartered in the State of Ohio, the 2nd Chapter Chartered in the Central Area, and the 13th Chapter Chartered in all of The Links, Incorporated. We proudly celebrate more than 66 years of Service to Dayton and neighboring communities. We are the home chapter to two Central Area Directors, a National Chapter Establishment Officer, an Incorporator of The Links, Incorporated Foundation and several other National and Area positions of note. Our members are newsmakers, role models, mentors, activists, and volunteers who are accomplished and dedicated.
Our Chapter serves the Dayton Community through Five Program Facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services. These program facets symbolizes the blueprint used to enhance and make a difference where we live, work and play.
Please explore our site and The Links, Incorporated website to learn more about our organization. While membership is by invitation only, you can support our mission by supporting our Signature Fundraiser, “COOKIN’ MEN” which is held in the spring of the year. Thanks again for visiting us and come back for updates.
Sincere Regards and in Friendship,
Alma Ivey Clarke
